Photo of the Week

Two and a half years after getting married, I got myself engaged:

..First comes lust, then comes pregnancy, then comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage, then comes engagement.

Because fuck order, right? We're all out of whack 'round here.

Deets on the ring, here and fyi, my hand is a lot better looking in real-life.

Congrats on the engagement! Your ring is fucking awesome! 5 years after being married, I'm waiting for MY engagement ring!!! I'm not a fan of diamonds either but my mother recently gave me her engagement ring from when she was married to my father. All it needs is to be dipped in white gold (I don't like yellow) and made a tad bit bigger and I'm all set. *waiting for hubby to get it done* MEN. =P

I proposed at Disney World a few years into the relationship, a few days into the vacation and after only a few minutes of thought. Needless to say, I only had a few bucks to spare, so I bought a $15 Tinkerbelle ring and that was her engagement ring- even after her finger turned green.

Congrats.

wow that is really creative- I have never seen anything like it! I think it suits you perfectly. And I don't do things in the "correct" order either. Life doesn't have an order. Neither does love. Unplanned pregnancy rules!! WHOOO! ~jjlibra

The ring my hubby bought me for a special occasion became my engagement ring, but it never worked with my wedding ring. Finally, 7 years after getting married, I got my real engagement ring. It means a lot more to me.

That ring is gorgeous, congrats!

Excellent ring. Whatever order works for any one individual, I say!

Love the 'order'! Athough mine is slightly different, I can relate. Congrats! Looking forward to your book.

My husband proposed to me on our honeymoon. I'm all for doing it out of order! And that ring is truly amazing - I love the two stones set together.

Congrats on the ring. It is beautiful. And I think you did it in the exact right order. That's the way I did it!!

Who cares what order it goes in?

Diamonds aren't a girls best friend. I say originality takes the cake on that one.

Perfect ring.

My fiancee asked me to marry him in the heat of the moment after we found out I was pregnant.

We both got white gold bands with "Amour Vincit Omnia" ("Love Conquors All") on his engraved on the inside, and "Ad Infinitum" ("To Infinity Without End") in mine.

I cherish them with every fiber of my being, and still look longingly at my ring as if I was carrying around the biggest, baddest bling this side of the equator.
