Because I Love You

Per your request(s), I just made and posted an eye-makeup application tutorial on my youtube channel

Disclaimer: Please know that I'm no professional. I didn't go to beauty school nor have I ever consulted a makeup expert for any makeup application tips. I just know what works for me and hope I can be helpful to those of you seeking assistance. Also, in case you were wondering, its quite awkward trying to do your makeup backwards into a webcam.

Also, per your request, I have been posting Fable's daily wearings on flickr as well as listing the various makes, models and stores where you can find such adorableness. For instance, the frequently asked after owl beanie? Currently on sale at Anthroplogie

Inspired by the lovely Whoorl's The Working Closet photo set, I present to you... The Drooling Closet.

Fable rocks an old velvet Gymboree number purchased at a resale store in Encinitas

Don't you LOVE having a girl, especially after having a boy first?!?

if you have 8 more babies i will kill you. i don't have that kind of time to wait for my turn again.

the video? a decent first attempt. the script needs a little work. hmmm. maybe i should spoof it. you're lucky i have a lot to do today.

the under the lash eyeliner tip is moneyballs. no idea why you've been holding that one back on me.

De-lirking (I think) to say thank you for the make-up tutorial! I was actually talking to a friend over the weekend and was saying that I can't figure out how to put on eyeliner and she said under the lashes too! Why has everyone been holding out? I always wear really natural looking makeup and want to get a little more dramatic so I think I'll have to try this out! I also am rocking green eyes so the colour choices were awesome as well!

Thanks again :)

You're fun.

Thank you for the tutorial! I'm glad to see you open your mouth too while applying makeup. This is something I cannot stop, even though I've tried. Thanks again for taking the time to do this for everyone.

While I come to your site for the writing and honesty, I must say, your eyeshadow prowess often distracts me when I watch Momversation. I spend the whole time thinking, WHAT IS THAT GIRL DOING WITH HER EYESHADOW IT LOOKS AMAZING?!?! I will go toute suite to your video and learn the magic. I rarely comment on blogs but your eyeshadow is worth commenting upon. P.S. my web site is superlefty.com if you wanna check it out.

I'll have to check out that youtube video (I don't wear make-up but I've been thinking about wearing it on occasions. We'll see). And I love those little bows on Fable's dress. Too cute. Oh: and so is Fable. ^o^

I also love the fact that you're documentating her wardrobe. That is just too cool.

Take, care.

Ah, good. My eye makeup has looked like it was applied by a withdrawing heroin addict in the dark.

This will help.

She's delicious - but be warned - I had my 'Fable' first, and my second baby, though I love him and adore him, has only slept through the night once (at 26 months!) started crawling at 5 months and hasn't stopped moving since, and generally creates havoc and mayhem wherever he goes. Luckily for him, he is also the cutest baby ever, with a personality like Ferris Bueller. I have yet to meet one person, friend or stranger, that he has failed to leave drooling in his trail.

Enjoy her. She makes my ovaries ache.

I will have to check out your youtube video later today. It is filtered at my workplace. However, I am glad you are having so much fun with Fable's out fits. One day you will look back at this and be begging to be able to dress her again.

THANK YOU so much for that! Perfect day for this because I am actually making a trip to Sephora! I had no idea about the liquid liner going IN your lid. I will be practicing that look!

Also you have the PERFECT nose! IF I ever had a nose job (I wouldn't) I would request your nose.

Lastly - sorry I def do not agree with that woman and her 14 kids. BUT it is her uterus so she gets to decide what works for her. I just don't see how she is going to be able to hold down a job with 14 kids.

Thank you for sharing Fable's outfits over on flickr. She's inspiring in her cuteness! I must go check out our local Janie and Jack.

You are gorgeous! Thanks for the make up tips. :)

So funny- I wanted to comment on the perfectness of your nose too, but felt silly until I see I am not the only one. Your family is just lovely, thanks for sharing!

i concur w/bmc... the under the lash liner = moneyballs! changes everything. it takes a girl from a frumpy dressed in sweats haven't showered for a couple of days mom to sexyhotwishicouldshutmyplayboymouthmom :-). love it! thanks for the tutorial. xoxo

watch, i bet now every new mom in the us is gonna ne sporting a baby named fable with a wardrobe to match, hot lashes, and big bangs. Let the copycat explosion begin!!!!!

Anonymous | 11:32 AM

You seriously take care of your fellow blog readers. I've always sucked at makeup, so thanks for the tutorial. Can't wait to try it.

Anonymous | 12:06 PM

well i'm not going to name my baby fable, even tho it is such a beautiful name, b/c i'm done having kids.... but pls bmc, don't be a hater (jk) - i did go and get rebecca inspired bangs and am loving the eyeliner tips. i feel a little hip and pretty where i didn't before. remember, imitation is the highest form of flattery. i'd love it if i could copy u and be a phenomenal writer but it's not as easy as going and getting a haircut :-).

ufos8mycat | 6:24 PM

Woolf you are crazy! That eye makeup video is a trip. Thank God I don't wear makeup. I couldn't do it forward or backward.

Cait | 6:37 PM

I cannot get over how beautiful Fable is. Seriously. Gorgeous kid right there!
