How would you propose... to yourself? (and giveaway)

unnamed
Last week's giveaway comments were SO inspiring and they made me think, "well, shoot. How lucky are we?" And by "we" I mean everyone, really, because we all have so much to be grateful for. There is an abundance of wonderfulness that exists, even beyond the shittiest day.

Not that the days have been shitty, here, but I have been stressed... overwhelmed, fighting and pushing and having very little time with myself.

I actually made a promise to myself that by the end of the year I would start exercising again because for the last several years, I've been like, "but there's no time." And there isn't. I work when my kids aren't home. And at night, from the moment they go to bed to the moment I go to bed, I am also working. And I know this won't always be the case but I am not a good wife to myself -- I'm not a good mother to myself, either. I mean, I'm okay sometimes, but lately I've been incredibly harsh and relentless and just... yeah. Not very fun to hang out with.

Anyway. When Lorian from Chinchar Maloney emailed me several weeks ago asking if I would like to pick out a birth stone ring and host a giveaway here on GGC, I got a little teary because A. I was on my ellipsis (period is no longer the word I am using because I am literally ALWAYS on my period and nobody can figure out why so I'm going to see an acupuncturist and hopefully get this whole shebang figured out, but anyway...) And B. because I have always wanted a birth stone ring and I almost bought one several times for myself and then I didn't. Because, I don't know.

Anyway, I responded straight away and they came back to me with several settings and I fell in love with this one and then a few weeks later, my moonstone came:

I have not taken it off since, and besides my "wedding/already been married/engagement two years into our marriage" ring, it is my every day. I love the idea of wearing something on my right ring finger as a token of my commitment to myself. I mean, right!?

Anyway. I have never worn a piece of a jewelry for the purpose of paying homage to my Me-ness, which, I think, is important. The moonstone ring is that for me. It's simple and elegant and full of rainbows and I am so excited that I get to give one of these incredible pieces away, here, today, because I think they're incredibly special. All of their jewelry is. All handmade + unique + gorgeous. Here are some of my favorite pieces:

To win, tell me how you would propose to yourself, if you had the chance. How would you woo yourself to be your OWN best friend, partner, mate... ?

What would you say to yourself?

Where would it take place?

And what would you say in return? To... yourself... who is doing the proposing.

I'll choose one winner next Friday, October 17th. Can't wait to hear from you and thank you, Chinchar Maloney, for this amazing giveaway. You rock.
