Oh. My. So happy for you, you perfect stranger! Love vibes are comin' atchya - hard!
We have been TTC #2 for quite some time (and with #1 we tried for even longer!). The drugs I will soon take come with a "risk" of multiples. You make it look terrifyingly wonderful. I'm less scared. Thank you and congrats mama!

Rebecca, how wonderful it must be to have us all cheering you on! Here's one more CONGRATULATIONS, you all are beautiful, and hallelujah you're FINALLY HOME! I just found your blog a couple months ago and was immediately smitten with the fam, your story, and the way your words grace artfully across the page. Also, you have proooobably seen this, as it's a pretty famous twin picture, but I found it yesterday and immediately thought of you, and your lovely girls. The connection between twins is truly fascinating, and I just know you guys are gonna have a blast together! Thank God you were able to carry them for as long as you did, and that they're already as squishy as they are ;) Lots and lots of love and blessings to you all!

meredyth | 6:41 AM

The picture of Archer with his little sisters made me teary-eyed! What lucky little sisters (all of them) to have such a loving big brother. THIS is why I wanted my parents to adopt me an OLDER brother. I was the oldest but I wanted a big brother so badly!

Congratulations on the twins coming home and having such a lovely, loving family to welcome them.

Anonymous | 6:49 AM

So happy you are all home together now! I am 30 weeks pregnant with twins and wondering...of course you wish your babies could have come home with you from the hospital but do you think the time they were in the hospital at least helped your body have time to rest and heal from your c-section moreso than if they were home with you and you were taking car of them around the clock? I'm just trying to prepare myself and thought that aspect may be a silver lining?!

Heidi | 7:11 AM

Gorgeous family. You're beaming Rebecca ;) The warmth is coming through the screen!

Mama | 7:15 AM

YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! I wish there were bigger CAPS for that! I looked like a train wreck after all my C-Sections. Congrats on them both being home. Also the last picture of them snuggled together... PRICELESS! Can't wait to hear more and more and more!

Oh my Lord, those photos of Archer with the babies just made me cry all on their own! How lucky those girls are.

Melina | 12:26 PM

You have such a beautiful family. Archer's heart never ceases to amaze and inspire.

Just thought I'd mention this since it's what I do (though unfortunately far away in NYC)... you should check out an infant massage book/dvd. It's been shown to help premature babies gain weight and develop more quickly. And it's something easy to incorporate into your routine and to have the older kids help with.

Good luck with these first few days!

Tonya | 12:32 PM

I am so happy for you. My little Thora is a whopping 6 months old this week. She also spent time in the NICU, 9 whole days and you just brought me right back to her homecoming. Tears, overwhelming joy and all. Congratulations!

Anonymous | 1:30 PM

Welcome home!!! YAY!

Kate | 1:33 PM

an unsolicited pep talk:
1) you look amazingly good.
2) double swaddle? kill me with cuteness.
3) I am so impressed you've managed to blog at all. I have sympathy for "real" bloggers, because I just have a simple run of the mill family blog, you know, one that's not producing income or anything like that, and I still find it hard to make time to update it for friends and family to view, even though it means a lot to me to keep up with it, because I really value recording memories. And I only have one 7 week old baby (and two older kids) to care for, not twins! Anyway, my hat's always off when bloggers like you, Dooce, DesignMom, etc. seem to keep up with posting in what I know to be one of the most hectic, sleep deprived times of life. So good job, and know that if you need to give yourself a break, it's okay. We'll all still be here when you pick up again.

Rachel @ Little Kitchen, Big Bites | 1:55 PM

they are too cute and you look fantastic!!!!

SisterSister | 2:09 PM

double-baby-burrito has to be the most adorable thing I have seen all day. Possibly all week, except, oh, you posted some other equally adorable things. Also, Archer is the sweetest boy ever.

Congrats on having all your babies at home! :)

Jack's Mama | 2:48 PM

Adara Blake | 12:30 PM

You are incredible. How can anyone not appreciate how freaking AMAZING the human body is? It has been beyond cool to see your transformation, from the post about your anniversary, to that belly, to now. It doesn't seem possible that you look so small/peaceful/not exhausted when two humans just came out of you! Thanks so much for sharing.

Amanda | 12:47 PM

I know you have had a million comments and I am sure you don't get a chance to read them all...but I just want to say that the first pic in this post, of you and the girls, brought tears to my eyes. And I'm not really that kind of person who gets teary unless I'm super-hormonal! You look great and the girls look great and you handled this whole twins pregnancy with such grace and extreme humor - and I am so, so happy for all of you. xo

Autumn | 2:16 PM

Your family is adorable. I especially love photos of Archer with the new girls. It makes me feel happy at the thought of having another when my oldest is six or so.

I don't have twitter, but if you are still looking for small blogs in the wee hours of the morn, try:

happygreenbabies

or my own shameless, blunt ramblings over at www.autumncanter.com. We both have a Sage!

Carlin | 8:44 PM

Oh my gosh...the picture of Archer with the girls had me in (pregnancy induced hormonal) tears. :) Congratulations and welcome home - even if it is only for 9 months. I can't wait to see what your new house will look like. :)

I have been a lurker in your life for what seems like forever. Today, however, I break the silence to say that my heart is huge for you. Bursting. Splitting open with total joy over your awesomeness and the beautiful, amazing thing that is your family. Thank you so much for your honesty and openness in sharing your story with far-flung friends. Tonight, in Chicago, I have tears of joy for you and your babes, new and older. Hugs and fist bumps from a friend you have never met.
